Healthy Tri-State Season 3 Casting Notice:

- Do you have a burning desire to be that fit, healthy person you know you can be?

- Can you FULLY commit to a 4 to 5 month program of healthy eating and exercise (you must be medically cleared to exercise), including free help from physicians, dieticians and fitness experts?

- Are you an outgoing person, ready and willing to share your experiences and inspire others?

If so, read on and fill out the registration form.

Who are we looking for? Simply put, were looking for anyone who’s willing to dedicate themselves to adopting a healthier lifestyle over the next 6 months. Following a free diet and exercise plan overseen by physicians from Cabell Huntington Hospital’s Family Medical Centers and the Marshall University Department of Pediatrics, dieticians from Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Marshall University Diabetes Center and personal trainers from the Huntington YMCA, you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to live a healthier lifestyle.

Male or female, young or old, dealing with the consequences of poor diet and exercise habits or just trying to live a healthier life, we’re looking for you.

About the show: In November of 2008, the Associated Press named our region as the unhealthiest region in the country. While there are aspects of the arguments put forth supporting this claim in the article that are subject to dispute, there is no question that we, as a region, are facing a number of serious health issues. The aim of Healthy Tri-State is to create greater awareness of these issues and of the lifestyle choices we can make to deal with them. By sharing real life stories of people in our communities facing the challenges presented by adopting a healthier lifestyle, we hope to show everyone in our region that you are not alone in these struggles and that by facing these challenges as a community, we face them with greater strength.

About participating in the show: Healthy Tri-State is a television show. If you do not want to be on television, you should not apply. All participants will be regularly filmed. Video cameras will follow you at the YMCA and elsewhere. You will be required to give regular interviews. That said, we are not seeking to embarrass or humiliate anyone. You are not going to be forced to stand on a scale in your underwear below a giant digital scoreboard announcing your weight. While intimate details of your life will inevitably be shared, it is only our intention to present this information with sensitivity and good taste.

Being a cast member is a significant commitment:
You will be required to attend a weekly workout as well as a monthly meeting and boot camp. If you are not prepared to make this commitment through the end of June 2011, please do not apply and potentially take this opportunity away from someone else.

Still sound like something you would like to be a part of? If you're between the age of 18 and 65, click the registration tab above and fill out the form below completely. Then click on the Submission tab and submit a recent picture of yourself. You must submit a recent picture of yourself for your application to be considered.

We will contact the applicants we feel are the best fit for the show. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL WSAZ TO ENQUIRE ABOUT THE STATUS OF YOUR SUBMISSION.

Thank you.
