The Umbrella contest rules are pretty simple. Enter once by texting DQ to 75324 or enter up to five (5) times online or you can send as many post cards with your name, address, telephone number and email address to Umbrella-WSAZ NewsChannel 3, PO Box 2115, Huntington, WV 25721.WSAZ will randomly draw daily winners from the post card, online and text submissions. No purchase necessary. You can only win one umbrella during this contest period. If you have won and we draw your name again we toss it and draw another winner. Here is some more legal mumbo jumbo that we are required to say.
You must be 13 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
When you register online you will receive an e-mail with a link to a special DQ Blizzard® BOGO Coupon. That's a FREE Blizzard® Treat (12, 16, or 21 oz.) with the purchase of a Blizzard® Treat of equal or greater value.
When you register by text you will receive a link to that online Coupon that you will print and redeem at area Dairy Queen's.
If you enter by mail go to www.wsaz.com/dq to print out your DQ Blizzard® BOGO Coupon. Limit one Coupon per customer, per visit. Not valid with other offers, promotions or discounts. Winners will not be notified. If you win we will stick the umbrella in a cardboard tube and ship it to the address on your entry form. If it gets returned we will pull another name and send the umbrella to them so please be sure you have a good address on your entry. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If WSAZ-TV cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
WSAZ-TV reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
WSAZ-TV reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 100 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of WSAZ-TV, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to WSAZ-TV the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.

Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.

1.No purchase is necessary.
2.You must be at least eighteen (13) years old and a legal resident of the WSAZ viewing area at the time of entry to win. WSAZ viewing area is defined as the Nielsen DMA counties in Southwestern West Virginia, South Eastern Ohio and Eastern Kentucky. CLICK HERE for a list of WSAZ DMA Counties. Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules.
3.Sweepstakes begins on Thursday, July 8 2010 and ends on Friday, August 6, 2010.

PRIZES
5.We will give away one umbrella, each day on WSAZ News @ Midday. Each daily winner will receive one (1) WSAZ/DQ First Warning Golf Umbrella.
6.All prizes will be shipped to the address provided in the online entry form, the postcard entry or from the information provided from our call to the text message winners. Any umbrella’s returned due to incorrect address will not be forwarded.
7.All federal, state and other taxes relating to any prize imposed by any governmental authority upon the transfer of any prize to any winner are the sole responsibility of the winner.
8.Prizes carry no warranties of any type, whether express or implied, except as may be offered by sponsor or otherwise required by law.
9.Prizes are not transferable, substitutable, or exchangeable for cash except that WSAZ-TV in its discretion may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any such changes will be announced. If any of the winners fail to meet any eligibility requirement herein, alternate winners will be chosen by random drawing to be held as soon as reasonably practicable after initial winners are determined to be ineligible. Alternate winners are subject to all eligibility requirements and restrictions of these Official Rules.

21.Verified prize winners will have their umbrella shipped via UPS or another shipping service.

22.All federal, state and local laws apply. Sponsors shall be entitled to interpret these rules as needed - including but not limited to rules regarding entries, selection of winner, deadlines, restrictions on prizes, and eligibility - and all of their decisions are final. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules. WSAZ-TV reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes or any part of this Sweepstakes should any non-authorized intervention, network failure, information storage failure, telecommunications failure, malfunction, or other causes beyond its control, corrupt or impair the security, administration, fairness and/or operation of this Sweepstakes as determined by WSAZ -TV in its sole discretion.
