The Umbrella contest rules are pretty simple. You may enter 10 times online, you may enter 10 times via text entry (text May to 75324 message and data rates may apply, text stop to stop receiving messages from 75324, text Help for help information or my enter as many times as you like by mailing a post card to: WSAZ Umbrella, PO Box 2115, Huntington, WV 25721.
WSAZ will randomly draw daily winners from the post card, online and text submissions. No purchase necessary. You can only win one umbrella during this contest period. If you have won and we draw your name again we toss it and draw another winner. Here is some more legal mumbo jumbo that we are required to say.
You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will not be notified unless your entry was via text. We will call you to get your name and mailing address. If you win we will stick the umbrella in a cardboard tube and ship it to the address on your entry form. If it gets returned we will pull another name and sent the umbrella to them so please be sure you have a good address on your entry. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If WSAZ-TV cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated entry of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated entry will lead to entries being voided.
WSAZ-TV reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
WSAZ-TV reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within the Nielsen defined Charleston-Huntington television market comprised of the following counties: Boyd, Elliott, Floyd, Greenup, Johnson, Lawrence, KY, Lewis, Martin, Pike, Gallia, Jackson, Lawrence, OH, Meigs, Scioto, Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan Mason, Mingo, Nicholas, Putnam, Roane, Wayne, WirtWEST VIRGINIA, OHIO AND KENTUCKY. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside the United States, in NY and FL, as applicable, and where prohibited.
Employees of WSAZ-TV, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to WSAZ-TV the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
WSAZ-TV reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, Inc., and/or WSAZ-TV. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and WSAZ-TV are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
WSAZ-TV reserves the right to change the rules at any time.

1. No purchase is necessary.
2. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and a legal resident of the WSAZ viewing area at the time of entry to win. 3. Sweepstakes entry begins on Monday, April 9, 2012, and ends on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. The last day we will accept registrations is May 23, 2012, 12:00pm (Noon).

PRIZES
5. Each daily winner will receive one (1) WSAZ First Warning Umbrella.
6. All prizes will be shipped to the address provided in the online entry form, the postcard entry or from the information provided from the text entry method. Any umbrella’s returned due to incorrect address will not be forwarded.
7. All federal, state and other taxes relating to any prize imposed by any governmental authority upon the transfer of any prize to any winner are the sole responsibility of the winner.
8. Prizes carry no warranties of any type, whether express or implied, except as may be offered by sponsor or otherwise required by law.
9. Prizes are not transferable, substitutable, or exchangeable for cash except that WSAZ-TV in its discretion may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any such changes will be announced. If any of the winners fail to meet any eligibility requirement herein, alternate winners will be chosen by random drawing to be held as soon as reasonably practicable after initial winners are determined to be ineligible. Alternate winners are subject to all eligibility requirements and restrictions of these Official Rules.
10. The odds of qualifying to win a prize depend on the number of on-line, mail-in and text submissions.

21. Verified prize winners will have their umbrella shipped via UPS or another shipping service.
MISCELLANEOUS
22. All federal, state and local laws apply. Sponsors shall be entitled to interpret these rules as needed - including but not limited to rules regarding entries, selection of winner, deadlines, restrictions on prizes, and eligibility - and all of their decisions are final. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules. WSAZ-TV reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes or any part of this Sweepstakes should any non-authorized intervention, network failure, information storage failure, telecommunications failure, malfunction, or other causes beyond its control, corrupt or impair the security, administration, fairness and/or operation of this Sweepstakes as determined by WSAZ -TV in its sole discretion.
